Israeli naval commandos stormed a flotilla of ships carrying aid and hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists to the blockaded Gaza Strip on Monday, killing at least nine passengers in a predawn raid that set off worldwide condemnation and a diplomatic crisis. Here's what they should have said (since it's much closer to the truth):
After repeated warnings to a flotilla of six ships carrying aid to the blockaded Gaza Strip on Monday, one of those ships refused to change course and as a result was boarded by a team of elite Israeli naval soldiers. Once the Israelis boarded the ship, they were attacked by dozens of activists wielding steel pipes and knives. Four of the Israeli soldiers were wounded and several had their weapons taken by the activists who then began firing upon the soldiers. Nine of the activists were killed in what was described as "self defense" by the Israeli soldiers.Basically 6 of one, half dozen of another. As long as you don't know how to count or what a "dozen" means.
From NPR (surprise).
